Look at it This Way...
I should be a bigger fan of outside-the-box thinking. My cautious planning gets me into trouble sometimes and, at the end of this life, could make me feel more empty than I'd care to admit.
Videos like this get me moving in the right direction -- for my mental health and faith life.
Consider for a moment how what we don't see is a result of what's around us: dark is the absence of light, etc.
I don't know the history behind this video, other than it's a growing force in social media circles.
Whatever its background, it's worth watching.

At Least I Can Cross This Off My List
I've been to plenty NFL stadiums in my career with the Titans, Texans, Broncos and Falcons.
A couple more years of traveling and I could have all 32 fields marked off the list.
Today I cross off Candlestick Park.
Hope I never have to come back...
The 49ers, without question, are one of the storied franchises in professional football. Unfortunately, they got caught in the trap a few decades ago of mixed-use stadiums.
It made sense... for the time.
Now baseball's Giants have moved out and the 49ers are left with an oddly-shaped, quickly-deteriorating home.
Hopefully as the economy rebounds San Francisco (maybe with a partnership with Oakland) will get a stadium ready for prime time.
Today, let's just hope the Falcons escape with a win.
The iPod is Dead... Crap
On my way to Candlestick Park for the Falcons-49ers game and my iPod is dead.
This is bad.
I have developed few traditions during my time in the NFL, but listening to U2 on the bus ride is one I'm a bit superstitous about.
Let's hope my time at the concert in Atlanta last week carries over.
It's "Sunday Bloody Sunday."

Who Says it's Hard to Eat Healthy?
Pad Thai with tofu and a Kirin... Light. Who says it's hard to eat healthy when you travel?
Pair this with the 3.5-mile jog and the, oh, 5 miles of walking and I've had a pretty healthy weekend. Say hello to the new beach body.
It's out there somewhere, right?
We're All Looking for a Beach
We're all looking for a beach.
We're all looking for somewhere to relax and look out to wonders that we can't comprehend.
We're all tiny in the universe and we're all looking to appreciate some kind of beauty -- and find answers.
Everyday I'm part of something like the ocean, something with great size and mystery. Isn't that what life is? A search for peace with the vastness of it all?
In this blog I'll explore some of the questions in my own life in hopes it helps you, kind reader, answer some of your own. To do this, I'll document the world around me, comment on the news we may not want to hear and daydream about the possibilities that exist on our beach, our point of ultimate relaxation and understanding.
Because we're all looking for something.
